Lady Gaga, Pink, Usher, Aerosmith Announce Arena Tours

Perhaps Lady Gaga was tired of Madonna grabbing all the touring headlines -- not to mention those onstage mashups of "Express Yourself" and "Born This Way." The current queen of pop announced the North American leg of her Born This Way Ball tour Tuesday, booking single dates in 25 cities from January to March.

But the Gaga gigs were hardly the day’s only concert news: Pink and Usher also announced separate winter tours of North America and Europe, respectively, and Aerosmith unveiled the second leg of its Global Warming Tour. All four tours are being promoted by Live Nation, except for three of the Aerosmith shows.

Pink, Usher and Aerosmith also are playing the IHeartRadio Music Festival this weekend in Las Vegas.
Lady Gaga’s arena jaunt will kick off Jan. 11 in Vancouver and roll through March 16 in Miami. The tour hits Staples Center in Los Angeles on Jan. 20 and New York’s Madison Square Garden on Feb. 22. Gaga is touring Europe this month before heading to Latin America and South Africa and wrapping Dec. 9 in St. Petersburg, Russia.

Madeon and frequent Gaga collaborator Lady Starlight are set to open the first 17 shows, with Zedd taking over for Madeon for the final eight. All the shows are bookended by open dates, leaving room for additional concerts in each city.

Meanwhile, Pink – riding her top 10 single “Blow Me (One Last Kiss)” – will launch her 25-date arena tour of the U.S. and Canada on Feb. 13 in Phoenix and wrap March 28 in Boston. No opening act has been announced.
And it’s already been a busy news week for Usher, who was confirmed Monday as a judge for the spring cycle of NBC’s singing competition The Voice. The veteran R&B singer, whose Looking 4 Myself in June became his fourth consecutive album to debut No. 1 on the Billboard 200, will start his Euro arena tour Jan. 18 in Amsterdam and wrap March 14 in Nice on the French Riviera. Hot British singer Rita Ora will open at least eight of the shows.

Led by Steven Tyler -- fresh off a two-season gig as a judge on American Idol -- Aerosmith toured North America this summer in advance of its album Music From Another Dimension, due out Nov. 6. The second round of dates in the U.S. and Canada begins Nov. 8 in Oklahoma City and ends Dec. 13 in Nashville. Fellow '70s-rooted rock band Cheap Trick again will open the shows.
